Come and enjoy learning in a relaxing yet stimulating atmosphere, that encourages sharing and networking with fellow painters.

In 1988, after fourteen years of travel teaching, Maureen built the "ideal classroom". Excellent overhead lighting, a wall of windows and lots of room makes this a studio where you can't wait to start painting!!

With the new closed circuit TV system and four large monitors, every seat is the best seat in the class.

If you plan on bringing the family, there is lots for them to do while you're busy painting. They may enjoy local boating, fishing, or camping. There is excellent shopping in nearby antique shops, museums, farmers market, restored villages and unique craft boutiques.

The Fergus-Elora area offers beautiful Bed & Breakfasts, very reasonably priced, with all the comforts of home. Camping is just down the road at Lake Belwood. Or you may prefer the usual hotel lodgings in nearby Guelph or Orangeville. The Toronto airport is only 45 minutes away and car rentals can be easily arranged.

Visit www.ferguselora.com to find out more about the accommodations in our area. Click on Attractions and Activities, then Accommodations, then Bed and Breakfasts. A listing of all the B&B's in the area opens up. Click on each one to see a picture or sketch of the B&B and all the information you need to know, including the current prices. For hotels just click on Inns and Hotels.

Please note that Maureen has not personally visited every B&B, Inn or Hotel listed on this site.

However, she will be happy to send you a list of the accommodations recommended by her students.

Wendy Gottmers from Southern Belles Catering prepares the delicious noon hour meal. You will enjoy a hot entree, bread and a selection of salads and fruit. Dessert is mid afternoon and Wendy promises her world famous "butter tarts" on one of the days.

Hot coffee and a selection of teas are there for you to enjoy all day. Cold drinks will be served in the afternoon. We do encourage you to start the day with a nutritious breakfast, but we'll have tea breads and snacks waiting for you when you arrive.
